Second story for @freezerburn-week
Yang and Weiss are already together together and on the road to Mistral to find Ruby.
The drive through Mistral that night had been a lot colder than usual. So once Weiss got off the back of her bike the first thing Yang did was get a fire going.
As she started to unpack their things from the Bumblebee she noticed that Weiss was by the fire instead of going through her normal routine of diligently setting things out for the night. She was crouched by the fire and had her hands outstretched to get them closer to the heat.
Yang looked down at her riding gloves and prosthetic hand. She was used to riding in the cold, but Weiss wasn’t even close to being dressed for such a frigid ride. Her first impulse was to go and hold Weiss’s hands to warm them.
An bitter frowned crossed her lips as she clenched her right hand. She held back a deep sigh in knowing that she was incapable of comforting Weiss the way she wanted.
After a moment she set her disappointment aside, and proceeded to lay out their things like Weiss normally would.
I can at least do this for her.
When she finished Yang returned to Bumblebee for the final time to checked on how the bike was doing with all the miles and travel they were putting on it.
It was when she had to carefully reach past a few hot engine parts to check the oil that she had an idea.
Yang hurriedly took off her gloves and put her right hand on the bike’s exhaust pipe.
